Kitchen Appliances Buying Guide – Mixer, Air Fryer & More Deals: deal list

Mixer grinders

  • 750 W is ideal for most Indian kitchens — enough for idli-dosa batter and hard spices. 500 W is fine for light use.
  • Three jars (large, medium, chutney) cover almost everything. Stainless steel jars last longer.
  • Look for overload protection and a motor warranty of 2 years or more.

Air fryers, kettles and induction

  • Air fryer: 4–5 litres suits a family of 3–4. Basket-style is simpler to clean than oven-style.
  • Electric kettle: 1.5 litres with auto shut-off and a stainless steel inner body.
  • Induction cooktop: check it works with your cookware (the base must be magnetic) and look for preset Indian menus.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 1000 W mixer better than a 750 W one?+

Only if you grind a lot of hard ingredients or large batches. For most homes, a good 750 W mixer with a reliable motor is enough and uses less power.

Do air fryers really use less oil?+

Yes. They need a teaspoon or two of oil, or none, instead of deep frying. The taste is close to fried but not identical.
