Power Bank & Charger Buying Guide – Best Deals Today: deal list

Power banks: what the numbers mean

  • Capacity: a 10,000 mAh power bank charges most phones about 1.5–2 times; 20,000 mAh about 3–4 times. Real output is lower than the label because of conversion losses.
  • Output (watts): 20 W or more is needed for fast charging modern phones. For laptops you need 45 W–65 W with USB-C PD.
  • Ports: USB-C in and out charges faster and works with more devices. Two outputs are handy for sharing.
  • Flights: power banks up to 20,000 mAh (100 Wh) are allowed in cabin baggage, not in checked bags.

Chargers and cables

  • Match the standard your phone uses: USB PD for iPhones and most Android phones, and brand-specific fast charging (like SuperVOOC or Warp) for some OnePlus, OPPO and realme phones.
  • A charger is only as fast as its cable. Use a cable rated for the wattage (60 W or 100 W for USB-C).
  • Buy from known brands — cheap no-name chargers skip safety protections.

Frequently asked questions

Can a fast charger damage my phone's battery?+

No. Phones control how much power they take, and a good charger only supplies what the phone asks for. Heat is what hurts batteries, so avoid charging under a pillow or in direct sun.

10,000 or 20,000 mAh — which should I buy?+

10,000 mAh is pocketable and enough for a day out. 20,000 mAh is better for travel or charging two devices, but it is noticeably heavier.
